Pomegranate Mojito

Pomegranate Mojito Mocktail is a non-alcoholic, quick and easy recipe which is a colorful blend of pomegranate, lemon juice and mint. It is a sweet, tangy and 100% refreshing drink. Pomegranates are full of antioxidants and they’re good for us. It is organic, gluten-free, and has a low glycemic index.

It is not that complicated to make at all, and is such a nice change of pace. With pomegranates in winter season now, it is the perfect time to make a pomegranate mojito mocktail. My daughter loves it a lot. Pomegranate mojito is a fun recipe that you can make with the kids. It's a nice way to show them the joy of creating a fresh, flavorful drink. This non-alcoholic drink is perfect for parties and festivals.

It also brings out the many health benefits of pomegranates in delicious and colorful way. Pomegranates are a full packet of health benefits such as cancer prevention, blood pressure reduction, prevention of bacterial infections and also known as supplier of necessary antioxidants and vitamins. Pomegranate and lemon juice both are a good source of vitamin C.



It is very simple and quick to make. So try this refreshing drink.

Ingredients:

1 tbsp. sugar
1 cup water
5-6 fresh mint leaves
1/4 cup pomegranate seeds or 1 pomegranate (Peel and take out all seeds)
juice from ½  lemon

Instructions:

To prepare this healthy and refreshing beverage at first collect all ingredients. Wash mint leaves very well with running water.
In a blender add pomegranate seeds, mint leaves and sugar. Squeeze lemon juice and blend.
Strain the juice with the help of strainer. Add water into juice and mix well.
Pour into glass and serve chilled.
You can decorate with mint leaves and lemon wedge.

Tips:

  • You can use lemonade in place of lemon juice.
  • If you are preparing this drink in another season and pomegranate is not available in market, you can use pomegranate juice pack. It is easy to make with packaged pomegranate juice and lemonade but they are not fresh and have preservatives. 
  • Another variation of this mojito is a little orange juice. You can add orange juice in it.
