Cheese garlic bread is filled with cheese and corn. This is crispy on the edges and cheesy inside. It can be easily prepared at home. Garlic butter gives it an amazing flavor.

Cheesy garlic bread

Cheese garlic bread can be made in oven or without oven. It’s simple to follow and takes about 2-3 hours to make. Generally bread is cooked in oven. Most Indians don’t have any oven in their kitchens so I am sharing bread recipe using kadhai. It can be made without any efforts and easily. You may use any type of cheese mozzarella or processed.

Slice it and enjoy it with cheese and buttery flavor. It can be enjoyed with tomato ketchup or mayonnaise. It can be served as an accompaniment or side dish.

Ingredients:

For Yeast water-

1 tsp. yeast
1 cup water, lukewarm
1 tsp. sugar

For Garlic Bread-

2 cup Maida (white flour)
3-4 garlic cloves, finely chopped
¼ tsp. salt
1 tsp. oil
Some grated cheese (processed or mozzarella)
2 tbsp. sweet corn (boiled)

For garlic butter-

1 tbsp. butter
2 garlic cloves, chopped
1 tsp. oregano

For Seasoning-

Oregano herbs
½ tsp. chilli flakes

Instructions:

Proofing-

Dissolve yeast and sugar in 1 cup warm water. Mix well until sugar and yeast are dissolved completely.

Leave for 10 minutes until bubbles form on surface.

Kneading-

It is very important part to get soft bread. Sieve maida in a mixing bowl. Add chopped garlic, salt and oil. Mix properly.
Pour yeast mixture into flour.

Use your hand and start to knead the flour. Add milk in parts and knead until smooth and elastic.
This procedure can be 8-10 minutes longer. If dough is sticky, apply oil and knead until smooth.
Let rise in a warm place until doubled for 2-2.5 hours.

When the dough has risen, punch it down gently to release air that have developed. Divide into two parts.

Making Garlic butter-

Heat a pan, add butter, garlic pieces and herbs.
Cook for 1 minute and keep aside.

Making garlic bread-

Dust some flour and roll the one part of dough lightly.
Apply garlic butter oner the surface. Spread some grated cheese and some corn.

Fold the dough and seal the edges.
Apply some garlic butter over the surface, sprinkle some herbs and red chilli flakes. Make cuts using knife.

Apply oil on the plate and put the bread in plate.
Meanwhile, preheat the kadhai. Add salt at the bottom, place a stand. When it becomes hot, keep plate and close the lid.
Cook for 15 minutes on medium flame or until crust becomes golden brown.
After 15 minutes, remove plate from kadhai and cut into slices.
Enjoy hot cheesy slices with your favorite dip.

Tips:

  • Do not forget to add sugar into yeast mixture.
  • Do not dissolve yeast into too hot water. It’s possible to kill yeast if you use too hot of water, so water should be lukewarm.
  • Preheat the cooker before placing plate inside.
