Orange Juice Recipe | Homemade Orange Juice

Homemade Orange juice is healthy, fresh and more nutritious. It can be prepared at home easily and without preservatives. Make this simple fruit recipe with the help of mixer, blender, citrus juicer or electric citrus press. A glass of fresh orange juice is an instant mood and energy booster. You can serve it with your breakfast or have it after yoga or gym session. Remember to serve it immediately since the orange juice tends to taste bitter.

Orange juice is a bundle of vitamins, nutrients and essential minerals. Orange juice is one of the best known and preferred beverages around the world. It is incredibly accessible and easy to make, as you only need to squeeze a few fresh oranges. This fruit’s sweet and citrus taste makes it the perfect refreshing drink for hot summer days.

Oranges contain high levels of flavonoids, vitamin C and B9, and antioxidants. Among its many nutrients, oranges can offer our bodies a healthy intake of potassium, magnesium, Vitamins A and E and iron. Orange juice fortifies our immune system, improves digestive health, lowers the risk of cancer, protects the cardiovascular system, prevents kidney diseases, assists in weight loss, lower cholesterol levels and a natural anti-inflammatory.

Ingredients:

5-6 oranges
A small pinch black salt
1 tbsp. honey or sugar (as required)

Instructions:

Rinse the oranges under water.
Peel the oranges and slice them into two parts. Remove seeds using fork.
Add them into a blender jar. Blend until they become juicy.
If you are using citrus press, cut oranges in two parts.


Squeeze out all the juice by pressing on citrus press.



Sieve the juice using strainer. Collect the juice in a vessel.
If juice is sour, add some sugar or honey to sweeten it.
Add black salt and mix properly.
Pour in a glass serve immediately.

Tips:

  • Select the fresh and best oranges to prepare juice.
  • You can add jaggery or honey instead of sugar to sweeten it.
  • Remove all seeds before blending as they will make juice bitter.
  • Orange juice should be consumed as soon as possible, as with time it becomes bitter.
  • You can add some mint leaves and ginger.
